Glamour is produced in Poland by JTI Polska Sp. z o.o., the Polish operating company of Japan Tobacco International (JTI). The group’s holding company, JT International SA, is based in Geneva and was formed in 1999 as a subsidiary of Japan Tobacco Inc.

The brand was first launched in 2005 by Gallaher, the tobacco group that Japan Tobacco acquired in April 2007, when the trade mark passed to JTI. It entered the Austrian market in April 2007 and Poland in June 2008 through Gallaher Polska, renamed JTI Polska Sp. z o.o. in 2009.

JTI Polska operates the production park at Stary Gostków, near Łódź; about 80 per cent of Polish output is made for export to some 70 countries. The group’s cigarette portfolio includes Winston, Camel, LD, Sobranie, Benson & Hedges, Silk Cut and Mevius; company details are published on the JTI corporate site.
