Original: Unflavoured Tobacco

Original is a classification by absence: no flavouring has been declared by the manufacturer, which leaves the leaf blend as the only variable in the product. Makers label this in several ways, and Original, Classic and Red all denote the same non-aromatic classification, so one idea turns up under different names from brand to brand. In technical terms these are the non-aromatic lines, the counterpart to the aromatics listing. Everything gathered here is unflavoured, spanning cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, hand-rolling tobacco and pipe tobacco.
