Made by Joh. Wilh. von Eicken GmbH

The brand is produced by Joh. Wilh. von Eicken GmbH, an independent, family-owned tobacco manufacturer based in Lübeck, Germany. Founded in 1770, when Johann Wilhelm von Eicken began producing tobacco in Mülheim an der Ruhr, the company added a Hamburg factory in 1886 and moved production and head office to Lübeck in 1982. In 1992 it acquired the Dingelstädt tobacco works in Thuringia, a manufactory for cigars and cigarillos.

Von Eicken distributes more than 30 brands across more than 120 countries and states that most of its production is made for export. The brand name first appeared on fine-cut pouches in 2003, when five 40 g roll-your-own varieties were launched; a Vanilla & Cream cigarette line under the same name reached the Austrian market in October 2010. Other von Eicken brands include Burton, Pepe, Manitou, Allure, Tradition, Chapman, Denim and Candlelight. Company details are published at von-eicken.com.
